106 medical workers were killed by the Russians in a year of full-scale war

Date:

Today, February 24, we celebrate the year of Invincibility. A year has passed since the day when the whole country woke up to the explosions of rockets, but overcame fear, rallied, repelled the enemy and continues to defend itself fearlessly and tenaciously.

The country has survived, and the medical system has survived. However, behind the phrase “medical system” stands not only and not so much a large state mechanism, buildings of hospitals, pharmacies, maternity hospitals, not only modern equipment. The medical system is primarily people. Medical workers who went to their workplaces on the morning of February 24 and continued to vaccinate, treat, save and put their patients back on their feet. They continue to do it to this day, even in conditions of power outages and shelling, all 365 days.

During this year, 106 of our colleagues, medical workers, died, 33 of them at the workplace. Terrible numbers for a country in the heart of Europe in the 21st century. However, this is our terrible reality. We remember everyone who gave their lives in this war. Thank you to each and everyone who faithfully performs invaluable work to save others.

365 days have passed, we know for sure that our great victory will surely come, but in the meantime, let’s keep in line. We are grateful to the Defense Forces of Ukraine: thanks to you we resisted, thanks to you we will defeat the enemy!

Glory to Ukraine!
