Life jackets were issued – two residents of Transcarpathia are suspected of transporting evaders across the Tisza

Under the procedural guidance of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office, two residents of the Rakhiv Oblast were informed of the suspicion of organizing the illegal transportation of several conscripts across the state border by a group of persons in a prior conspiracy.

According to the investigation, two residents of Lug participated in the scheme of illegal transfer to Romania of citizens of Ukraine who are subject to military service. The person who coordinated the actions of the Transcarpathians and received money from “clients” is currently being identified by law enforcement officers.

It is known that the suspects were looking for conscripts and were waiting for their arrival at their place of residence. During the meeting, the time and place of crossing the border, the line of which runs along the Tisza River, was determined. To “secure” such a dangerous route, men were given life jackets.

On Wednesday evening, a few tens of meters from the border, the “evaders” along with two smugglers were exposed by law enforcement officers. Organizers of illegal activities were detained in order Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukrainethe issue of choosing a preventive measure for them is resolved.
