In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a whole gang will be tried for the manufacture and sale of psychotropic drugs

An indictment was sent to the court against the organizer and four members of the criminal organization on the facts of illegal production, storage, transportation and sale of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities.

According to the investigation, a resident of the city of Marganets created a criminal organization that was engaged in the production and sale of a psychotropic substance – methamphetamine. He involved four more acquaintances in the “business”, each of whom performed their functions according to a pre-agreed plan. Psychotropic drugs were produced in rented premises, orders were accepted through messengers, and sold “from hand to hand” in the territory of the Nikopol district and region. Payment was made in cash and on bank cards, and the received funds were distributed among the participants. The monthly sales turnover amounted to more than 1.5 million hryvnias.

In the course of authorized searches of the place of residence and in the cars of the accused, which they used for illegal activities, a psychotropic substance, computer equipment, mobile phones and cash in the amount of almost UAH 700,000 were seized.

All participants are currently in custody.
