Ukraine will hold consultations on the restructuring of Eurobonds with their owners outside the special committee – the Ministry of Finance

Date:

Consultations of Ukraine with owners of Eurobonds on restructuring will soon take place outside the special committee of creditors, which represents the owners of approximately 20% of Eurobonds, reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance on Monday.

“Over the coming weeks, the Ukrainian government will consult with Eurobond holders outside the Eurobond Holders’ Committee and gather feedback from the wider investor community on the deal’s structure and instruments. Reaching an agreement with investors on the terms of restructuring is expected by August 1 of this year,” it says.

As reported, between June 3 and 14, Ukraine and the special committee of creditors held negotiations and exchanged proposals for restructuring, but were unable to reach an agreement, in particular, due to the inadmissibility of the terms proposed by commercial creditors for the IMF and the Group of Official Creditors of Ukraine.
