On Tuesday night, Ukrainian air defense shot down four Russian missiles and 15 attack drones within four regions of Ukraine, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.
“As a result of anti-aircraft combat, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, two Kh-59 guided air missiles and 15 attack UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyi regions”, – it is said in the message.
As reported, on the night of August 6, the enemy hit Kyiv region with 4 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the territory of Russia, in particular, from the Voronezh region, with 2 Kh-59 guided air missiles from the airspace over the Azov region of the sea and 16 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type in the direction of Cape Chauda – Crimea, as well as from Kursk (RF).
The air attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile troops and units of the Air Defense Forces of the Air Force, the command emphasized.
