FDM starts debut real estate auctions for UAH 1

Date:

In September, the State Property Fund of Ukraine put up for auction the first four real estate objects in Odesa and Zhytomyr regions with a starting price of UAH 1, reported FDM head Vitaly Koval on Facebook on Thursday.

“The starting price of each object is UAH 1. This is the mechanism established by law for the period of martial law to determine the starting value of objects whose balance sheet value is absent or equal to zero,” said the head of the Fund.

According to him, this symbolic price makes it possible to effectively start the privatization process in the current conditions, however, to participate in the auction, it is also necessary to pay a registration fee of UAH 1,420.

“It is important to understand: the final cost of objects can be much higher than the starting price. Previous experience shows that the price can increase hundreds or even thousands of times during the auction. This ensures the flow of real funds to the state budget,” Koval added.

The specified four objects are administrative buildings and non-residential premises of various purposes.
