Ukraine is doing everything to ensure that the second Peace Summit takes place this year, and continues work on increasing the circle of support for the communique of the inaugural summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“Now we are preparing the second Peace Summit and we have to work so that it will take place this year. Do everything for it. We must continue to increase the circle of support for the communique of the inaugural first summit,” Zelenskyy said at a meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine on Monday.
The president added that “every ambassador of Ukraine, whose host country has not yet joined the communique, should draw appropriate conclusions.”
As reported, initially 80 countries and 4 organizations joined the communique of the inaugural Bürgenstock Peace Summit on June 16 this year, now their number has increased to 86 countries and 5 organizations, but the last expansion was in mid-July.
According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine needs to work as energetically as possible with partners in groups on the points of the Peace Formula, and not only in the political sphere. It is necessary to work with the media, as well as analytical centers of different countries, so that there is an understanding of the vision of a just peace.
“One must be able to work with all significant political forces, societies and leaders of these societies in different countries, and not only in our partner countries. The blue and yellow colors of our Ukrainian statehood and Ukrainian courage are a desirable symbol for many in the world,” the president emphasized.
