Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga, based on the results of his first working visits after taking office, to Bucharest, Bratislava and Chisinau, announced the existence of agreements “that the enemy will feel.”
“There are also agreements that will be felt by the enemy and that will become public later. New aid packages are confirmed. There is support for Ukrainian initiatives, in particular specific financial contributions to Grain From Ukraine. This visit was not only about very tangible and concrete things. We agreed on the possibility of joint border control with Romania in order to simplify the procedures”, – he wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
In addition, Sybiga informed about the agreement to hold a joint meeting of the governments of Ukraine and Romania, with the prospect of expanding the format to a tripartite one with the participation of Moldova.
“Intergovernmental consultations with Slovakia are scheduled for early October, and we are carefully preparing for them. At such intergovernmental meetings, we finalize important practical projects in the fields of economy, trade, logistics, transport, energy, and protection of citizens’ rights,” he emphasized.
The minister also recalled the agreement reached to expand the consular presence and open new consulates general in Romania and Slovakia.
According to him, integration into the EU and NATO was a key topic of negotiations in Bucharest and Bratislava. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed confidence that Ukraine can count on support.
“In Chisinau, joint work on the way to the European Union was coordinated. Moldova is on the threshold of presidential elections and the European referendum. It is very important to maintain the European course despite Russian disinformation and attempts at destabilization,” Sybiga emphasized.
