“Eurosolidarity” initiates reduction of expenses and mobilization of revenues of the state budget-2025 by UAH 170 billion – Poroshenko

Date:

The leader of the “European Solidarity” party, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko presented the proposals of “Eurosolidarity” to the project of the state budget for 2025, noting that all non-targeted expenses should be reduced, and the funds of the military levy should be directed exclusively to the needs of the army, it is reported on the website of the police force on Tuesday

“Our proposals make it possible to reduce expenses and mobilize revenues by UAH 170 billion – without increasing the tax burden on poor people. We propose a decrease in expenditures by 105 billion and an increase in state budget revenues by 65 billion. First of all, the corrupt, non-transparent, inefficient Road Fund should be abolished,” Poroshenko said at the briefing.

He criticized the insufficient, in his opinion, funding of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the increase in the funding of the authorities, the funding of the telethon, as well as the misuse of military levy funds.

“By October 1, our political team will introduce amendments and proposals that the budget committee should consider and submit as conclusions of the Verkhovna Rada to the government in order to be taken into account when preparing the draft budget for the first reading,” Poroshenko said.
