The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has established requirements for the calorie content of the main products supplied for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will be used during the procurement of food products, reported press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“The decision is the result of inspections of military units, during which deficiencies were found, in particular, in cases of supplying products with low calorie content. It is expected that the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense DOT will start using these requirements as an addendum to government contracts (agreements) for the purchase of food products, which will take effect from the beginning of 2025,” the Ministry of Defense said in a message on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
It is reported that, according to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenkov, setting clear requirements for the energy value of products is “not just a matter of standards, but a guarantee that our defenders will receive what is necessary to maintain combat readiness and health.”
