The head of world boxing called Russia’s opponents outcasts and declared war on the IOC

Date:

The president of the International Boxing Federation (IBA) Umar Kremlov demands that his organization be given back the right to hold qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Games. A fan of dictator Vladimir Putin, he also expressed support for his compatriots, who have been reinstated by the IBA without restrictions despite the war in Ukraine.

Kremlov said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel “Match TV”, reports OBOZREVATEL. The Russian, who was illegally re-elected as the head of the International Olympic Committee, threatened the International Olympic Committee (IOC) with “serious decisions”, and called the officials who oppose the representatives of the aggressor country “society outcasts”.

“We have created a special group, there is correspondence. Our main task is tournaments. The World Championship is the main event for boxers. And of course, we will defend boxing at the Olympics. We will not allow society’s outcasts to violate sports rules and sports culture. Boxing is the founder of the Olympic movement. While this is a warning. Serious decisions will follow. There should be no sports officials who want to strip someone of their flag or anthem or eliminate a sport. We must develop sports,” Kremlov said.

Earlier, the USA announced its withdrawal from the IBA. Before that, representatives of Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, the Philippines, Sweden and the United States announced the creation of the World Boxing International Federation (WBIF). It should be noted that the IOC deprived the IBA of the right to conduct selection for the Olympic Games due to doping scandals.
