The fire broke out late on Sunday evening, February 26. Firefighters were notified of the fire at 42 Chervonotkatsky Street, near the Chernihivska metro station, at 9:45 p.m. One of the fitness clubs of the “Sport Life” network is located at this address.
As reported in the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv, the fire broke out on the first floor of the club in an auxiliary room. Employees of the fitness center were in the building at the time of the fire and evacuated themselves before the arrival of rescuers.
In less than half an hour, the emergency workers coped with the fire, which covered an area of four square meters. There were no casualties.
Whether the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the wiring, careless handling of the fire or something else, the law enforcement officers will find out.
Meanwhile, the police of the Kyiv region are establishing the circumstances of the gas leak in the village of Zdvizhivka, in the Buchansky district. In one of the houses, the 63-year-old owner of the house lit a candle, after which an explosion rang out.
A man with multiple burns on his body and limbs was hospitalized. The house is practically destroyed.
