Yes, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Serbia came out with a statement in which the Serbian newspaper was accused “Policy” in that they openly support Russia.
And this happened as a result of the fact that Politika printed an interview with the leader of the terrorists – Pushylin. In its statement, our embassy stated that the newspaper Politika, by publishing an anti-Ukrainian interview with one of the leaders of a puppet terrorist organization, actually supported the killing of hundreds of children and thousands of adults, the destruction of cities and villages of the sovereign European state of Ukraine, and the daily bombing of civilians by Russian troops cities and civil infrastructure”.
The embassy emphasized that “by order of its master, the Russian-fascist regime, the daily newspaper Politika is not only trying to spoil relations between Ukraine and Serbia, but is also actively working to undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty not only of Ukraine, but also of Serbia.”
The Embassy of Ukraine expressed its belief that “Serbia’s leadership and competent authorities will give an appropriate, including a public, assessment of the subversive activities of Moscow mercenaries who use the Serbian mass media and the information space of Serbia to incite hostilities in the center of Europe.”
In the opinion of the author of this article, similar actions of the Politika publication are a deliberate provocation and an actual blow to Kosovo. The purpose of these actions is obvious – to bring discord into the relations between Ukraine and Serbia and to provoke an armed conflict in the Balkans, which will benefit the Moscow rulers, but at the cost of thousands of victims among the civilian population. History has a habit of repeating itself. And this is exactly what the current leaders of Serbia should think about, choosing between a democratic path to the future and a return to imperialist ideas.
For reference:
The Politika publication is a pro-government publication whose owner, Boban Raic, is close to the leadership of Serbia, Russian money, and is the actual owner of the Russian Tsar restaurant in Belgrade.
Ps According to editorial sources in diplomatic circles, the leadership of the Republic of Serbia was aware in advance of the provocative intentions of the Politika publication and deliberately did not prevent the publication of the above-mentioned material. Such a policy is very similar to the generally accepted one in the Serbian government – provocations, lack of a clear position, playing along with Russian interests. However, it can be quite dangerous, both for the sovereignty of Serbia and for economic and social stability in the country.
