Almost 100% of all drones are developed in Ukraine. In this sector, private business occupies the largest part.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov
“Drones. Priority is also very important. Almost 100% of all products are developed in Ukraine. That is, in this sector, private business occupies the largest part, and this is good, because it is also about the economy. The Defense Procurement Agency recently for the first time announced competitive bidding in closed mode through Prozorro for the purchase of 20,000 drones, with an estimated cost of up to 3 billion hryvnias,” the deputy minister informed.
According to him, some of these tenders have already taken place, and “the Ministry of Defense received good results, both in terms of the product and the price. About 7,000 drones have already been contracted.”
“Bidding took place and about 7,000 more are currently undergoing verification and qualification. And more than UAH 1 billion of this budget has already been used, and we are moving along this path,” Klimenkov explained.
