Kryvyi Rih mining and metallurgical plant PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” (AMKR, Dnipropetrovsk region) announces mass checks of TCC on Friday on the roads to the enterprise, which caused a failure in production, reported company on its Facebook page on Friday evening.
“This morning, a mass inspection of TCC took place at the entrances to “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih”. Because of this, part of the staff could not get to their workplaces on time. Such actions jeopardized the production processes of our company, which in today’s conditions is trying to survive and work for the state and people. In particular, due to the actions of the TCC, there was no timely reception and transfer of the work shift, one of the key units of rolled production was stopped and the company suffered losses from the production of rolled products,” the press release reads.
At the same time, it is emphasized that AMKR always operates in the legal field and cooperates with state institutions, in particular in the field of mobilization. Currently, more than 3,000 workers are protecting the country in the ranks of the Armed Forces, 167 colleagues have died. Booking processes at the company are transparent and in accordance with the law.
“We consider the actions of representatives of the TCC to be demotivating and to threaten the further shutdown of the company’s production divisions. We hope that these processes will be streamlined and will take into account the specifics and importance of uninterrupted operation of a strategic enterprise, which is the largest foreign investment in Ukraine and the largest mining and metallurgical plant in Ukraine,” the company’s statement emphasizes.
“ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” is the largest producer of rolled steel in Ukraine. It specializes in the production of long rolled products, in particular, fittings and wire rods.
The company is a large taxpayer to the budgets of all levels and the main employer in the city of Kryvyi Rih. The enterprise, together with its subsidiaries and subcontractors, creates more than 20,000 jobs, payments to the budget for 2023 amounted to 4.1 billion UAH, the volume of exports for 2023 amounted to about 25 billion UAH.
