The exposition presents the works of 70 talented artists aged 5-25 from seven countries.
Recently, the grand opening of the exhibition of the winners of the VI International MALYU.UA Art Festival was held in the Museum-Workshop of Ivan Kavaleridze on Andriivskyi Uzvoz. The exposition presents the works of young gifted artists and sculptors from Ukraine, Canada, Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Germany, Sweden and the USA.
The festival is organized by the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM, the company STUDIORAR under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Kyiv City Government.
According to the organizer and curator of the project Tatyana Kolisnychenko, the MALYU.UA international festival was launched several years ago as an international art platform.
New generations of young artists bring their vision to their elders in the format of international communication, which introduces different countries to each other’s culture, develops mutual understanding and friendship between peoples.
“Within the framework of our festival, which is being held for the sixth time, Ukraine, together with various countries of the world, within the framework of cultural cooperation and diplomacy, introduces art fans to the creativity of gifted youth… In all, during this time, we managed to involve more than 20 different countries of the world in our project” , — says Tetyana Kolisnychenko, director of the NGO ADRUM (Association for the development of cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and the world.
The contestants’ works were evaluated by a professional artistic jury of famous artists, sculptors and cultural figures from 12 countries, which determined the winners of this year’s festival of works of young artists.
According to the project organizers, evaluating the works of gifted creative youth, recognized artists and cultural figures of the world art community determine current trends and further development of culture and art.
“Now, during Russia’s insidious war against Ukraine, international cohesion and cooperation in all spheres, including cultural ones, is especially important,” she emphasized. Tatiana Kolisnychenko.
This year, festival participants have the opportunity to present their works at three exhibitions at once: in Ukraine (May 12-June 6), Montenegro (May 20-30), and South Korea (May 13-June 12).
The themes of the works of young artists are extremely diverse. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is considered a kind of art therapy, and the works themselves impress with their sincerity of feelings and colorful palette.
As last year, the topic of war remains extremely relevant for the participants. However, unlike the previous works, where the pain and horror of war were recreated, the current works show hope and unshakable faith in our Victory.
