For the first time since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in the band “Antitila”, whose musicians repairing trophy tanksa full-fledged musical premiere: he released a song that conveys the emotions and impressions experienced by artists this year.
The musicians say that the song “Bakhmut Fortress” aims to strengthen the spirit of the military, who defend our state, hold a huge front and a hot piece of Ukrainian land, the symbol of stability is the city of Bakhmut. The lyrics of the composition were created in a day. The melody was written by Serhii Vusyk, a soldier and musician of the band, and has been in the band’s musical arsenal for a long time, but it was waiting for its time.
— As musicians, we understood that we needed to do something inspiring, with which we would like to tear up the earth, go into battle, stand and not retreat, – said leader of the band “Antitila” Taras Topolya. — But as citizens who have combat experience, we understand that we need to do our work and our task calmly, as we were taught, and that behind our backs, behind the backs of those who are specifically now resisting the occupiers with weapons, is the future of Ukraine. And no matter what happens around you, you have to take control of yourself and do everything that depends on you in the best way. It so happened that we have experienced enough of such situations, so we understand, like no one else, what we are singing about and what our brothers and sisters are standing for in the fiercest part of the world today.
The lyric video for the song included footage of the destroyed city of Bakhmut, filmed by the band’s musicians.
— Before the official release, we showed the song to our military friends and received only one response: release this song as soon as possible, it is needed right now, Taras shares.
The premiere of the music video for the song “Bakhmut Fortress” is scheduled for mid-February. Filming, in particular, took place on the front line. Currently, the musicians do not provide more details. It is known that at the end of February “Antibodies” will go on an international tour, popularizing Ukrainian music and drawing attention to the heroic struggle of Ukraine.
We will remind that the musicians remain soldiers of the 130th battalion of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but by order of Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhnyi, they do not go directly to combat missions.
