Dmytro Buryak: The Ministry of Culture and the State Property Fund will become managers of Yanukovych’s confiscated assets

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) has appointed the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy (MKIP) and the State Property Fund (SPF) as the authorized management bodies of the assets of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych seized from state income.

It became known from message “Judicial and Legal Gazette”, which refers to the relevant decision of the CMU.

According to the notification, “the relevant recovery is carried out in accordance with the decision of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court dated 12.12.2022 in case N 991/5572/22 and the resolution of the Appeals Chamber of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court dated 04.01.2023 in the relevant case, with the aim of their further use for the needs of the state, privatization or lease, including after the full restoration of the constitutional system of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories, as well as until the moment when certain assets are included in the park – monuments of garden and park art of national importance in accordance with the Law “On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine”.
