As reported, scheduled power outages will not be implemented on August 4 for the sixth day in a row.
According to the Ministry of Energy, last day the power industry restored power to 10,123 consumers who were cut off as a result of hostilities and technological violations.
In total, 492 localities remained without power supply as of Sunday morning due to hostilities and technical malfunctions.
According to the ministry, during the past day, in the southern region of the country, the high-voltage overhead line connecting the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova was briefly disconnected. Due to technological violations, the voltage at the substation decreased, the RES generation facilities were unloaded. Power has been restored. In addition, ground fires caused by the thunderstorm knocked out the high-voltage overhead line.
“Central region: the high-voltage overhead line was disconnected. The reason is damage to the section passing through the territory of Belarus (after 24.02.22, Ukrainian energy companies do not have access to its maintenance)”, the department noted.
The substation and consumers in the northern region were also de-energized. The power supply was restored according to the backup scheme.
Last day there was a fatal case as a result of a tree falling on an overhead line in the Ternopil region.
“As a result of the tree falling on the overhead line, the wire that fell on the fence was broken. A person, trying to climb over it, came close to a dangerous distance and was fatally electrocuted,” the Ministry of Energy reported.
