From April 1, fishing will be prohibited in the Kyiv region

Date:

A spring-summer ban on fishing during the spawning period is established annually throughout Ukraine.

In the Kyiv region, fishing restrictions will come into effect on April 1. Until June 10, it is not possible to fish in all reservoirs and lakes with bays, channels along with the flood zone. And from April 1 to May 20 — in all rivers and their root waters. Until June 30, it is prohibited to fish in newly created water bodies, as well as in the ancillary system of rivers and other water bodies.

During this period, commercial fishing is prohibited, motor boats, spearfishing, and sports fishing competitions are prohibited. At the same time, recreational fishing is allowed. But there is one important remark.

Violators will have to pay damages for each illegally caught fish

During spawning, you can fish with one float or bottom rod with one hook and spinning from the shore. However, only in permitted places and on other water bodies within the boundaries of settlements. The maximum catch per fisherman is no more than 3 kilograms.

However, only in the places specified in the special list and on other water bodies within the boundaries of settlements.
