Great Britain introduced sanctions against 5 leading Russian banks and three oligarchs

Great Britain is imposing sanctions on five Russian banks and three oligarchs after Russia recognized the self-proclaimed “people’s republics” of Donetsk and Luhansk.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of the country, Boris Johnson, transmits BBC.

The prime minister did not name the banks, calling them “leading”. However, he announced that personal sanctions are being introduced against oligarchs Igor and Boris Rotenberg, as well as Gennady Timchenko. Their assets will be frozen and they will be denied entry.

At the same time, the Russian mass media report that restrictions are being introduced against the banks “Rossiya”, “Promsvyazbank”, “Genbank”, “Industrialny sberegatelny bank”, as well as “Chernomorsky bank razvitiya i rekonstruktsii”.
