The message about the explosion in the village of Lebyazhe of the Krasnograd district was received by the law enforcement agencies on August 19 around 8:00 p.m. When the police arrived at the scene, they detained a 40-year-old man.
It turned out that the attacker, being in a state of alcohol intoxication, threw a ready-made “RGD-5” grenade by the woman’s collar during the conflict. The victim managed to get and throw the ammunition to a safe distance from her before detonation. It turned out that the woman who was attacked is the sister of the attacker.
As reported in the communication department of the police of the Kharkiv region, during the search of the place of residence of the suspect, another equipped case of combat hand anti-personnel grenade “F-1” was found and seized.
So far, investigators have informed the man of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: attempted murder and illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
