In Kyiv, the construction of the metro on Vynogradar was resumed

Date:

One tunnel between the stations has already been built, the builders are starting to build the second.

The metro to Vynogradar is being built again.

About this in interview TSN told head of the Kyiv Metro Viktor Braginskyi.

“With the beginning of the war and the introduction of martial law, the general contractor of JSC “Kyivmetrobud” informed the Kyiv Metro about the lack of the possibility of carrying out works on the construction of the metro on Vynogradar. That is, the construction of new stations was stopped. Now the general contractor has resumed construction work,” Braginskyi said.

According to the head of the Kyiv Metro, the pace of construction is affected by the current situation. After all, construction crews and everyone involved in construction must be safe during an air raid. In addition, unstable power supply slows down the work process. But despite the difficulties caused by the war, the metropolitan authorities and the metro are making every effort to continue this project.

“Today it is very difficult to name a clear deadline for the completion of works. Because it is impossible to predict even what will happen tomorrow. But I can say that now the general contractor has focused his work on those areas that require priority work. We need, first of all, to eliminate the man-made danger – to secure the already built tunnels and cover them, and then proceed to the construction of the second tunnel from the “Mostytska” station to the “Syrets” station. One tunnel between them with a length of 1249 meters has already been built, now the second one needs to be built. As before, it will be built by the prokhodnitsa shield “Halyna”, Braginskyi said.
