In Troeshchyna, a young man broke his grandmother’s head with a hammer

A pensioner with a head injury was hospitalized.

The attempted murder took place in one of the apartments on Maryna Tsvetayeva Street in Troyeschyna. Kyiv police were called by local residents who reported that neighbors could hear a quarrel and possibly a fight. A patrol team arrived at the specified address.

According to the Kyiv police, law enforcement officers heard cries for help from the apartment. It turned out that the 22-year-old grandson quarreled with the grandmother and hit the pensioner several times on the head with a hammer. The woman managed to lock herself in the room with her younger granddaughter before the police arrived.

Law enforcement officers arrived on time and rescued a pensioner with a minor girl. A woman with a head injury was hospitalized, and her grandson was detained.

The investigators of the Desnyan police department informed the attacker that he was suspected of having committed an attempted murder (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code). The young man faces from seven to 15 years in prison. The court will choose a preventive measure for him.

Earlier, the capital police detained a man who turned himself in and confessed to the murder. He stabbed his drinking buddy several times. After that, the man left the apartment, and two days later decided to confess the crime to the law enforcement officers.
