Increased financial aid will be paid to Kyiv residents every month

For the first time, certain categories of Kyiv residents will receive increased financial assistance under the “Care. Towards the people of Kyiv”.

Persons with disabilities, orphans and other separate categories of citizens will receive monthly financial assistance from the city budget. This will be the first payment of the increased amount monthly financial assistance for underprivileged sections of the population.

As reported deputy head of the KMDA Marina Hondathe corresponding order No. 65 was signed.

“At the initiative of the mayor, last year changes were made to the program “Care. Towards the people of Kyiv”, which provide for an increase in the amount of payments for certain categories of the population. Then the funding of the program was increased by more than UAH 1 billion. Payments for certain categories of Kyiv residents, on average, have increased by one and a half to two times compared to previous years,” Marina Honda said.

As part of the changes, payments were also provided for some new categories that did not receive financial assistance before.

In particular, internally displaced persons from certain categories and who are registered with the social protection bodies of Kyiv will also receive financial assistance.

According to the order, financial assistance in the amount of UAH 2,500 will receive: children with disabilities of subgroup A; children with disabilities who are placed under guardianship or custody or who are brought up in foster families or family-type children’s homes; orphans

Also, 2,500 hryvnias will be given to persons with disabilities of group I of subgroup A, whose pension amount (taking into account allowances, increases, additional pensions, targeted rposh assistance, pensions for special services to Ukraine and other supplements to pensions established by law) does not exceed the amount of three subsistence allowances minimums for persons who have lost working capacity; persons with disabilities of group I of subgroup A — recipients of state social assistance.

In the amount of UAH 2,000: children with disabilities; children under guardianship or guardianship; persons with disabilities of the I group, whose pension amount does not exceed the amount of three subsistence minimums for persons who have lost their ability to work.

Two thousand hryvnias will also be given to persons with disabilities of the I group — recipients of state social assistance; persons who are recipients of assistance for children with severe perinatal damage to the nervous system, severe congenital malformations, rare orphan diseases, oncological, oncohematological diseases, cerebral palsy, severe mental disorders, diabetes mellitus type I (insulin-dependent), acute a6o chronic IV degree kidney disease.

Assistance in the amount of two thousand hryvnias will also be paid to a child who received a serious injury, needs an organ transplant, palliative care, and who has not been diagnosed with a disability.

In the amount of 1200 hryvnias: persons with disabilities of the II group — recipients of state social assistance.

Material assistance will be paid to current accounts in banks for the payment of pensions and to accounts opened in a bank that is a participant in the project “Municipal card “Kyiv card”. Beneficiaries who receive payments through Ukrposhta will also be able to receive assistance at the institution’s branches, or the payments will be delivered together with the pension.
