Italy, in the framework of the new Pro.Ukr project, which is implemented with the support of AICS and CiHeam, will provide Ukraine with more than EUR11 million, which will be aimed at developing irrigation, supporting cooperatives, providing small farmers with equipment and integration into the European market, said the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
“For the implementation of this project, the Odessa region was chosen. He told Vin on the results of the meeting with the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Carlo Formoza and the leadership of the Italian agencies for cooperation in the field of development (AICS) and Ciheam.
The minister also noted that a tonne of exports from Italy to Ukraine costs $ 2670, and from Ukraine to Italy $ 309.
“This clearly demonstrates the difference in the structure of trade: Ukraine mostly supplies raw materials, while Italy exports products with high value added. borrowing marketing experiences to determine the positioning of Ukrainian products in the EU markets.
