The Ivan Franko Prize is awarded annually and amounts to 10,000 hryvnias.
From March 1 to May 1, 2023, the State Television and Radio Committee accepts journalistic works for the Ivan Franko Award in the field of information activities.
The competition is invited to submit new original journalistic works in the field of information, which contribute to the establishment of the historical memory of the people, its national consciousness and identity, aimed at state formation and democratization of Ukrainian society.
The works must be published (made public) in their completed form within the last three years, but no later than six months before their nomination.
“The prize is awarded annually on the occasion of Ivan Franko’s birthday – August 27 – in the amount of ten thousand hryvnias each at the expense of funds provided for this purpose in the state budget,” the State Committee for Television and Radio reminds.
The prize is awarded in the following four nominations:
— for the best publication in printed mass media;
— for the best work in the field of television;
— for the best work in the field of broadcasting;
— for the best scientific work in the information field.
