“Kharkivoblenergo” agreed on the conditions for the connection of distributed generation facilities up to 150 MW

Date:

Specialists of JSC “Kharkivoblenergo” have prepared technical conditions for connecting 21 facilities of distributed generation to electric grids.

“These are gas turbine and gas piston installations with a total capacity of 140-150 MW. And applications for joining generating units continue to come to the company”, – the company said on its website on Thursday.

According to the acting general director of “Kharkivoblenergo” Vyacheslav Kravtsov, who is quoted on the website, among the applicants for the connection of distributed generation facilities mainly appear KP “Kharkivski Teplovi Neti” and KP “Kharkivvodokanal”. Their generator sets, once connected, will ensure uninterrupted operation of heating and water supply during possible power outages.

As Kravtsov noted, the company is currently ready to quickly connect distributed generation facilities using a simplified procedure.

Previously, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Composite Services (NKREKP) introduced a number of changes aimed at shortening the terms of issuing and agreeing technical conditions and reducing the number of documents for obtaining the service of connecting generating units to electric networks.

“Kharkivoblenergo expects that the declared generating capacity will be installed and connected in the coming months,” the company said.
