Konstantin Kryvopust: at night Binyamin Netanyahu was implanted with an electric pacemaker. Levin is appointed interim prime minister

Date:

At night, Benjamin Netanyahu was implanted with a pacemaker. The Sheba Hospital in Ramat Gan reported that the operation was successful without complications, and the head of government will remain in the ward for some time under the supervision of doctors.

In a video he posted on social media overnight, Netanyahu explained that the device for monitoring the heart’s activity (Internal Loop Recorder), which had been given to him earlier by the medics, had malfunctioned and they had to implant a pacemaker. He emphasized that he is completely healthy and will be able to come to the Knesset tomorrow and take part in the vote on the law on “ilat a-svirut”. The latter proves that Netanyahu is not going to make any concessions from a large part of society protesting against the reform.

Exactly one week ago, Binyamin Netanyahu was urgently hospitalized at the Sheba Hospital. He was discharged a day later, and he explained that he simply overheated while vacationing with his family in Kinneret. Other information got into the press – that the prime minister fainted and fell for reasons unknown to the public. The attempt to hide what is happening with the prime minister’s health has given rise to various rumors, and according to a survey by the newspaper “Maariv” 43% of Israelis do not believe the version presented by him. The night operation confirms the opinion of the interviewees.

At night, the ministers elected acting the head of the government, Minister of Justice Yariv Levin – before Netanyahu’s discharge from the hospital.
