Republican Senator Lindsey Graham’s amendment to the US government financing bill stipulates the possibility of seizing the assets of Russian oligarchs and transferring their income to the people of Ukraine.
“This amendment will allow the Department of Justice, through the Secretary of State, to transfer proceeds from the sale of seized assets of oligarchs or other sanctioned organizations of the people of Ukraine,” Graham said.
According to him, the new amendment to the law will be a gift for the long-suffering people of Ukraine.
“This will be a relief for American taxpayers and a bad day for Russian oligarchs,” the senator added.
