The capital authorities are doing everything to strengthen the thermal energy complex in case of emergencies. Kyiv’s cooperation with foreign partners, which provide technical, economic and humanitarian assistance, continues.
The capital received new help, in particular, from the charity fund “International Association for the Support of Ukraine”, which handed over 4 diesel generators with a capacity of 400 kW to the city to ensure the operation of boiler houses and the needs of the military.
Today one of the new generators the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko handed over to Ukrainian defenders — one of the military units.
“We have already handed over three of the generators received from the fund to KP “Kyivteploenergo”. They were installed in the Holosiiv district. And we are handing over one generator to a military unit today. The total cost of these generators is about 400,000 euros,” said the mayor of the capital.
He noted that the boiler houses, which were recently given three generators from the charitable foundation, serve more than a hundred buildings. Of them, 70 are residential buildings, two kindergartens and a school.
The commander of the 101st separate brigade, Serhiy Chernetsky, in turn thanked the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko and the charity fund “International Association for the Support of Ukraine” for helping the military in this difficult time.
To date, the capital has received several hundred generators of various capacities from international partners. More than 60 boiler houses of the city are equipped with them.
Kyiv also buys mobile boiler houses. Recently, they purchased 12 mobile boiler houses, which were received by the utility company “Kyivteploenergo”.
More than 10 mobile boiler rooms for the capital are in the process of production. In case of lack of heat supply, they can be promptly placed in institutions of the social sphere – hospitals, schools, kindergartens.
