Literary and reading competitions for schoolchildren from Liko-School

Technological lyceum “Liko-School” announced two contests for middle and high school students from all over Ukraine – one for artistic writing, and the second – a reading marathon. Works are accepted until March 1, 2022.

IN competition of artistic pistudents from 11 to 17 years old can participate in the seventh “LikoStylus”. “LikoStylus is designed to find, reveal the writing, creative powers of students and provide them with support,” the organizers note.

Works written in Ukrainian that have not been printed or published on the Internet before are accepted for the competition.

Poems, short prose (stories / short stories), short stories or novels, plays are participating in the competition. You can also send fan fiction that, depending on the form, will take part in a certain column under general conditions.

The winners will be determined by a professional jury, which includes university lecturers, teachers, poets and writers.

IN Liko-Marathon for readers 5th-11th grade students from all over Ukraine can participate. “The Liko Reading Marathon is designed to promote the popularization of reading among students of Ukraine, to develop critical thinking and communication skills,” – they write on the website of the lyceum.

The marathon consists of four stages, participation in all of them is mandatory. In order to complete the marathon, you should send reader feedback / reviews to the address of the Liko-Marathon competition:

– a work of classical literature;

– a work of modern literature for children or teenagers;

– a work from the detective genre;

– a work from the genre of science fiction or fantasy (or with elements of these genres)

Laureates and winners will be chosen in each age group (under 12 years, 13–15 years, 16–17 years) and nominations: “Poetry”, “Small prose”, “Great prose”, “Review”. Laureates and winners will be awarded valuable prizes.
