Nokia introduced the new G21 smartphone with “pure” Android: what’s interesting about it


The official announcement of the Nokia G21 smartphone took place. The model, which became the successor of last year’s Nokia G20, has a lot to be proud of, and now we will tell you what you should pay attention to.

The hardware base of the smartphone is an 8-core processor Unisoc T606, which is manufactured using the 12nm process and combines two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The accelerator is responsible for graphics processing Mali G57 MP1. The device supports operation in 4G/LTE networks.Importantly! Compared to last year’s model, the novelty received a much more productive processor.


  • One of the main features of the G21 is the presence of a 6.5-inch (HD+) LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz.
  • Adaptive mode is supported, when activated, the refresh rate will drop to 60 Hz when it is enough. This approach allows you to extend the battery life of the gadget.


Another significant change was the appearance 50-megapixel sensor, on the basis of which the main camera of the device is built. The developers did not specify the characteristics of the module, but noted that it supports the mode Super Resolution (increases the detail of pictures) and night shooting. The camera is complemented by a pair of 2-megapixel sensors – depth sensors and a module for macro photography.

  • The configuration is updated 4 GB of RAM and a 64 or 128 GB drive. If necessary, you can expand the storage thanks to a microSD memory card.
  • There are slots for connecting two SIM cards.
  • Autonomous operation is provided by a battery with a capacity 5050 mAhthanks to which the device will be able to work up to three days (according to the manufacturer).
  • There is support for 18W fast charging, but only a 10W charger is included in the package.

Fingerprint scanner placed on the side surface of the case, similar to how it was implemented in last year’s smartphone series. Supported face unlock technologyand, according to the developers, the device can identify the owner even in a medical mask.

The Nokia G21 smartphone will come with Android 11 on board. The developers promise to update the smartphone to Android 12 and Android 13 in the future, as well as provide users with security updates for three years.

Buyers will be able to choose between two color versions of the case: Nordic Blue and Dusk. The cost of G21 starts from 170 euros (≈ 5400 hryvnias).
