Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Sunday that he wants to create a new faction in the European Parliament as part of the Fidesz party, the Austrian Freedom Party led by Herbert Kickl and the Czech political movement ANO 2011 led by former Czech Prime Minister Andrij Babiš. informs Hungarian edition of Telex.

“Today we are creating a political formation that, I am convinced, will split and very quickly become the largest faction of the European right,” Orban said at a joint press conference with Kikle and Babis.

At the end of the briefing, the three leaders signed the manifesto of the three parties and stated that they would like to see the creation of a political group in the European Parliament.

Orbán spoke of a united faction of three parties – Fidesz, the Austrian FPÖ and ANO – led by the former prime minister of the Czech Republic, but according to the rules of the European Parliament, it should include representatives of four more countries, as the faction can consist of at least seven member states with a total of 23 MEPs.
