The ingenious invention of all times and peoples is pizza! A perfect dish, which brings satiety and indescribable delight with its taste, can be prepared in just 1 hour from the simplest and most affordable ingredients. I present to your attention one of the variants of this wonderful food – Simple pizza with sausage and tomatoes
.Ingredients for making a simple pizza with sausage and tomatoes:
For the dough:
- Wheat flour – 1.5 cups (cup capacity 250 ml)
- Dry yeast – 35 grams (1 bag)
- Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
- Pure distilled water – 70-80 ml
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Sugar – 1 teaspoon
- Tomato – 1 piece (fleshy, round)
- Sausage (smoked) – 100 grams
- Bacon – 3 strips
- Mozzarella cheese – 200 grams
- Dried ground oregano – 1/4 teaspoon
- Dried ground thyme – 1/4 teaspoon
- Dried ground basil – 1/4 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt – ½ teaspoon

Cooking a simple pizza with sausage and tomatoes.
Step 1: prepare the dough
Pizza is the tastiest dish invented by Italians, at least for me. It is quick to prepare and turns out to be so tasty that it is simply impossible to tear yourself away from it. To begin, prepare the simplest quick yeast dough. In a small saucepan, heat the amount of pure distilled water required by the recipe until 30-35 degrees. Pour the warm liquid into a deep bowl, pour sugar, dry yeast into it, mix the ingredients with a tablespoon, place the container near the stove and let the yeast rise for 10-15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Sift wheat flour through a sieve with a fine mesh into a deep bowl, add salt and mix the mass with a whisk to a homogeneous consistency. By 10-15 minutes add risen yeast and a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil to the dry ingredients.
Mix everything to a uniform consistency. Then sprinkle the kitchen table with a small amount of flour, transfer the dough and knead it with your hands.
After that, put the dough in a deep bowl greased with a small amount of vegetable oil, cover the container with polyethylene food film, and then with a kitchen towel and put the bowl in a warm place on 30 minutes. During this time, the dough will rise and increase in size by approximately 1-1.5 times, and while it is rising, you will have time to prepare the filling.
Step 2: prepare the bacon
If you don’t have a couple of pieces of bacon or lard in your fridge, you can skip this step, I added this ingredient only to give the pizza a more aesthetic look and some rich flavor. But if you still have bacon, put it on a cutting board and cut it with a knife into small pieces with an approximate diameter of up to 2 centimeters. After that, turn on the stove to medium level and place the frying pan on it. When it heats up, put pieces of lard in the pan and fry until golden brown, stirring with a kitchen spatula. It will take you about 10-13 minutes to fry. Transfer the fried pieces of bacon to a plate.
Step 3: prepare tomatoes
Of course, you can simply cut the tomatoes and put them on the rolled out dough, but there is another not bad option, when using which you will have 2 times more space for sausage on your pizza, and the skins from baked tomatoes will not get stuck between your teeth. And so, take the tomatoes, wash them under running water, dry them with paper kitchen towels, cut off from each tomato the place where the stalk was attached, cut each fruit 2-3 parts, put them in a clean blender bowl along with salt and all the spices that are specified in the recipe. Grind the tomatoes to a liquid, thick consistency by turning on the kitchen appliance at the highest speed. This process will take you no more than 2-3 minutes. Leave the chopped tomatoes in the blender, and do the cheese yourself.
Step 4: prepare cheese
And now the cheese, in my case it is “Mozzarella”, there was simply no other, and I did not want to run to the store, but you can use any other cheese, it all depends on your desire. Shred the cheese as desired, it can be grated on a coarse or fine grater, cut into small pieces or, as in my case, simply cut into layers. Put the prepared cheese on a plate.
Step 5: prepare the sausage
Sausage is an individual taste of everyone, I used salt with lard, and you can focus on your preferences. Remove the cling film from the sausage, place it on a cutting board and cut it into rings or layers of thickness up to 5 millimeters. Transfer the cutlet to a plate.
Step 6: bake the pizza
Take a non-stick round aluminum mold with low sides and grease it with one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sprinkle the kitchen table with a small layer of wheat flour, slightly knead the risen dough and roll it out with a rolling pin to the diameter of the form in which you are going to bake the pizza.
Carefully transfer the dough into the form and spread it with a spicy mass of tomatoes and spices with the help of a tablespoon.
Place Mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato layer, after a sausage ring, then fried bacon and send the pizza to the oven for 15 minutes.
At the end of the required time, when the crust of your aromatic dish becomes ruddy, with the help of a kitchen towel, remove the form with the pizza from the oven and put it on a wooden board.
Step 7: serve a simple pizza with sausage and tomatoes
A simple pizza with sausage and tomatoes is, of course, served hot, but immediately before eating, you still need to let the flour product cool down, as hot dough is very harmful to the stomach. This dish does not need any supplements, except that you can enjoy pizza with a bottle of light wine, a mug of beer, or with a cup of aromatic tea! Enjoy!
