The video work was released in the summer of last year for a song-appeal to Ukrainian women, on whose shoulders a lot of trouble and grief fell.
Ukrainian singer Masha Fokina presented her second single in Ukrainian called “Lavanda”. The sound producer of the work was Tomasz Lukacs.
The new track is a song dedicated to our Ukrainian women, most of whom are left without husbands for certain reasons: someone’s husbands went to fight, someone is engaged in volunteering in their native Ukraine, whose families, unfortunately, were forced to go abroad. But despite everything, everyone works on their own front.
“First of all, this song is an appeal to Ukrainian women, on whose shoulders a lot of trouble has fallen. This composition is not only about women waiting for their husbands from the war, but about the fact that each of them was left alone with their problems. Many Ukrainian women left their native home because of the war in Ukraine,” said Masha.
Lavender is associated in Masha’s song with the fact that before the war we were all good and calm, we were in harmony with ourselves. But now women are going through difficult times, despite all the difficulties, they remain strong, indomitable, with faith in their hearts, exactly as the whole world sees Ukraine.
“For me, this song is like memories of a happy life and hope. Specifically, the chorus is about hope and love, which is not there, she was lost together with her beloved husband. The smell of lavender symbolizes the hope that she is still alive. If it wasn’t hard and bad, but lavender always blows in the soul, and suddenly it’s the echo of a loved one. I will be infinitely glad if this song inspires our women, can cheer them up in these difficult times. Very soon, Ukraine will win and each of us will be able to reunite with our relatives in our homes in a peaceful Ukraine. We are invincible, invincible – we are strong!” – said the artist.
Also, it should be noted that despite the pro-Kremlin environment, starting from my own grandfather and ending with the majority of girlfriends, for example, such as: Ani Lorak, Povaliy, and others, – Maria Fokina remained in Ukraine and is trying with all her might to support refugees, women and children, bringing our victory closer.
