Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation tried to hand over the suspicion before the Verkhovna Rada to the fifth president of Ukraine, a people’s deputy from “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko. However, the politician quickly got into the car and drove off. Later, he was seen at the airport, and the EU announced urgent visits.
About this reported the press service of the DBR, noting that criminal proceedings are being investigated regarding the criminal scheme of supplying coal from the temporarily occupied territories and assistance to the terrorist organizations “LPR” and “DPR” by a group of Ukrainian citizens. This case also involves a People’s Deputy from OPZJ, Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk.
The proceedings are being investigated under part 1 and part 3 of Art. 258-5 (financing of terrorism), Part 1 of Art. 111 (treason) and Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The video shows that an employee of the Security Intelligence Service specifically came under the walls of the parliament to hand over the suspect. But, seeing the employee, Poroshenko quickly got into his Mercedes, hailing the driver, and drove away in an unknown direction. Therefore, the politician ignored the SBI.
Subsequently, Poroshenko was spotted at the airport, from where he suddenly flew to Turkey. On Facebook pages EU parties explained that Petro Poroshenko went on a pre-planned diplomatic tour to Turkey and Poland. On Saturday and Sunday, he will hold a number of meetings in Turkey.
In particular, on the occasion of the anniversary of receiving the Tomos on autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine at the invitation of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Poroshenko, he will visit the Ecumenical Patriarch’s residence in Istanbul. They agreed on this during a telephone conversation on December 15.
And on December 20-21 in the Republic of Poland, at the invitation of the leadership of the Senate, Poroshenko will take part in an international conference on the topic “Russia – Ukraine – NATO: escalation of tensions on the eastern flank.” Bilateral meetings with representatives of parliamentary and political science circles are also planned as part of the consolidation of efforts to help Ukraine counter challenges to peace and security.
