Simple soup in 10 minutes – an excellent dish for those who came tired from work or just tired of standing by the stove all the time, and so want to allocate some free time for themselves. This dish is also suitable for students who are constantly busy and do not have enough time to prepare lunch or dinner. This soup can be prepared even without meat or broth, but it is no less tasty. So, let’s try together!

Ingredients for making a simple soup in 10 minutes:

  1. Potatoes of medium size – 2 pieces
  2. Small onion – 1 piece
  3. Small carrot – 1 piece
  4. Purified water – 1 liter
  5. Chicken egg – 1 piece
  6. Milk – 10 ml
  7. Wheat flour – 4-5 tablespoons without a bitter
  8. Salt – to taste
  9. Fresh parsley – to taste
  10. Butter – 1 tablespoon
  11. Spice “10 vegetables” – to taste
  12. Spice “mixture of bell peppers” – to taste
  13. Ground black pepper – to taste

Cooking a simple soup in 10 minutes.

Step 1: prepare onions

To begin with, we clean the onion from the husk with the help of a knife. After that, wash the component under running water and then put it on a cutting board. With the same sharp equipment, finely chop the vegetable into small squares no more than 0.5 – 1 centimeter. WARNING: the smaller we cut the onion, the faster it will cook. Transfer the chopped ingredient to a clean plate.


Step 2: prepare carrots

Peel the carrots with a knife and then wash them under running water. In order for this vegetable to cook as quickly as possible, we try to cut it as finely as possible. And for this, we put the carrots on a cutting board and cut them with a knife, first lengthwise into small strips, and then crosswise – into small squares. Transfer the finely chopped component to a plate with onions.


Step 3: prepare the potatoes

Next, peel the potatoes with a knife. After that, we thoroughly wash the ingredient under running warm water to thoroughly wash off the remains of earth and dirt from this vegetable. Then – put the potatoes on a cutting board and cut them into small pieces. I most often cut this root vegetable into two halves and then cut each half first lengthwise into several parts, and then crosswise. Such small pieces are obtained, which also cook very quickly in hot water. Transfer the chopped potatoes to a plate with other chopped vegetables.


Step 4: prepare a simple soup in 10 minutes – the first stage of preparation

So, pour purified water into a medium saucepan and put the container on medium heat. When the water begins to boil, salt it to taste and mix everything well with a tablespoon.

Then – reduce the heat to medium and carefully put chopped vegetables – potatoes, onions and carrots – in hot water. Again, mix everything well with a spoon and cover with a lid for the time being.


Step 5: prepare dumplings

While the vegetables are cooking in the pot, we will prepare dumplings that will make our soup more hearty and tasty. To do this, break an egg into a medium bowl, pour milk into the container, and add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Using a hand whisk, mix everything well until smooth.

After that, we begin to pour flour into the bowl in small portions. WARNING: the dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream. Therefore, depending on the type of flour, you may need both more flour ingredient and less than indicated in the recipe. Therefore, we “by eye” determine the required amount of flour for making dumplings. At the same time, we continue to beat everything in parallel with a whisk or a tablespoon so that flour lumps do not form in the mass.

After the dough for dumplings is ready, set the bowl aside for the time being.

Step 6: prepare a simple soup in 10 minutes – the second stage of preparation

So, our vegetables are almost cooked. Since we tried to grind these ingredients as finely as possible, the cooking time of these components was reduced to a minimum – approximately 10-12 minutes. But this period of time is enough to prepare the dough for dumplings. Therefore, to begin with, we add butter to our dish, and we also do not forget to add such spices as “10 vegetables” and “a mixture of bell peppers” to taste. We mix everything well with the help of a tablespoon and now, using a spoon, spread the dough for dumplings in small portions. In hot water, the dough will immediately form a lump and the process of cooking the dumplings will begin. This will require the maximum 2-3 minutes. After that, we turn off the burner and cover the pan with a lid so that the soup can stand a little while we serve our dinner table.


Step 7: prepare the parsley

Wash the parsley under running water and then put it on a cutting board. With the help of a knife, finely chop the greens and for now leave this ingredient alone right on the board.


Step 8: we serve a simple soup in 10 minutes

After the soup is literally infused 2-3 minutes, it can be served to the table. And for this, using a ladle, we pour the dish on plates. Before serving, sprinkle the soup with a small amount of greens. And you can enjoy such an aromatic and very tasty dish, despite its simplicity, together with a slice of bread and a few pieces of sausage to your taste.

Advice:

– If you have a pot of broth in the fridge, then be sure to use this ingredient instead of water. And if there are a couple of pieces of meat or chicken in your broth (depending on what kind of broth you have), then be sure to remove this component with a clean fork and chop it on a cutting board with a knife. And after the broth boils, carefully put the pieces of meat back to cook together with the vegetables.

– In addition to green parsley, you can add any greens to your taste to the soup. For example, it can be finely chopped dill or green onions. In any case, the dish will turn out no less tasty.

– In order for carrots to cook faster, you can grind them with a medium grater.

– If you don’t have the spices listed in the recipe on hand, don’t worry. Although they are very aromatic and give the soup an unforgettable aroma, they can be replaced with spices such as black pepper with peas, 1-2 medium bay leaves, turmeric, as well as a mixture of dried vegetables, such as: carrots, garlic, onions, onions – leeks, parsley, tomatoes. In supermarkets and in specialized retail outlets, the market offers a wide selection of all kinds of spices and seasonings, one of which will definitely be dried vegetables, ground into powder.
