After the fourth weekend, the film “Luxembourg, Luxembourg” collected 28,513,660 hryvnias in Ukraine, and took 9th place in the rating of the highest-grossing Ukrainian films of the time of independence.
A total of 192,053 viewers watched the tape.
“Luxembourg, Luxembourg” is the second feature film of the young director Antonio Lukic. And this is again a tragicomedy.
In the debut film “My thoughts are quiet” (2019), the main character, a sound engineer and a failure in life, Vadym tried to record the voices of rare animals and birds of the Ukrainian fauna of Transcarpathia, and at the same time he understood his relationship with his mother.
This time, two heroes, twin brothers Vasyl and Mykola (they were played by members of the band “Kurgan and Agregat”, brothers Ramil and Amil Nasirov) go to Luxembourg in search of their father. They are completely different: one is a policeman, has a family and a daughter, the other is a minibus driver who constantly gets into unpleasant situations.
The tape is filled with humor, life situations that are familiar to every Ukrainian, and a joke by which we recognize each other, wherever we are.
The world premiere of the film took place at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, where the film participated in the “Horizons” competition program, and since April 12, “Luxembourg, Luxembourg” started in the Ukrainian box office.
There are many curiosities in the picture, humor even in dramatic circumstances, and some quotes have already become popular.
On Sunday, Kyivites can watch the tape and talk with the creative team.
