Spying on the combat aircraft of the Armed Forces: the Security Service detained the “mole” of the Russian Federation

A resident of Crimea supported the annexation and took a passport of the Russian Federation, but later came to mainland Ukraine, issued documents and mobilized to the Armed Forces to inform the FSB.

Military counter-intelligence of the Security Service detained another enemy informer as a result of a multi-stage special operation in the Mykolaiv Region.

He turned out to be a resident of Crimea, who in 2014 supported the Russian invaders and remained on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula.

There he received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and voluntarily entered the military register of the aggressor country.

But later, a representative of the Russian special service came to him with a “proposal” for secret cooperation.

Then everything was like in a movie. At the instruction of the aggressor, before the start of the full-scale invasion, the suspect arrived in the Mykolaiv region, where his relatives live.

In the south, he was supposed to collect intelligence about the locations and movements of Ukrainian troops.

And in order to have valuable data, the attacker last year … mobilized to the Armed Forces.

It was in the ranks of one of the Ukrainian military units that the “mole” spied on the movement of combat aircraft and the positions of the air defense system of our country.

He was also interested in information about warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants of the Defense Forces.

SBU employees detained the person involved while he was carrying out an enemy intelligence mission.

The moment of the detention of the “mole” by the counterintelligence of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, he transmitted the obtained information remotely to the occupiers through his ex-wife, who lives in Crimea and is in the field of view of the Russian special services.

He used an anonymous messenger for communication.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the detainee of suspicion under the article — unauthorized distribution of information about the sending, transfer of weapons, armaments and military supplies to Ukraine, the movement, transfer or placement of the Armed Forces or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine.

An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime. Comprehensive measures were carried out under the procedural leadership of the Mykolaiv specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Southern region.
