State concern “Ukroboronprom” has been reorganized into JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry” within the framework of corporatization, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industry, announced.
“We are starting #iron_changes of the country’s largest defense enterprise. An important step is transformation. As of today, the activity of the state concern “Ukroboronprom” has been suspended. Instead, the joint-stock company “Ukrainian defense industry” was formed, – he wrote in a telegram on Thursday night.
According to the minister, the next step is the transfer of staff, transfer of property and further transformational processes, and then the formation of a supervisory board in accordance with OECD standards.
As reported, on June 28, the government appointed German Smetanin, who previously headed the State Enterprise “Zavod im. Malysheva”, which is part of the state concern. Prior to that, the concern “Ukroboronprom” was managed by Yuriy Gusev.
