Swift has appointed Steven Granger as the executive director of the Americas and Great Britain region – Kostyantyn Kryvopust

Swift has finally announced the appointment of Stephen Granger as CEO of the Americas and UK region. Grainger was most recently an executive vice president at Mastercard, leading the development and commercialization of the global business of cross-border services, serving banks, digital platforms and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).

In his new role at Swift, Grainger will lead the region’s core direction and growth, focusing his efforts on further developing strategic client relationships, supporting clients as they work to transform the cross-border payments experience for their end customers, and partnering with securities players to improve processing efficiency after trading.

Grainger brings two decades of global banking experience and an in-depth view of Swift’s business, having previously held senior business development roles at the co-op. A leader in the payments industry, he also held positions at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Citigroup.
