In the perinatal center of Kyiv, the state of health of pregnant patients is monitored using the System Carebits telemedicine platform, in particular, using Sigmafon portable tococardiography devices.
Currently, the institution has 10 such devices, which are actively used in maternity and obstetric departments and in women’s consultation. In the inpatient mode, using a telemedicine platform, the condition of the fetus of pregnant patients with severe obstetric pathology is monitored, which requires constant monitoring: recording of cardiotocography and the heartbeat of the fetus.
Since the beginning of the year, women’s consultation patients have been able to use the devices at home as well – Sigmafon portable tococardiography devices are issued primarily to those who have clinical indications for such monitoring.
“In the conditions of war, due to constant stress, the cardiovascular system of every woman suffers, and in the background of pregnancy, fetal distress, disruption of uteroplacental blood flow, placental dysfunction, etc. often occur. Thanks to the dynamic control at a distance, which became possible with the Sigmafon device, all these complications can be prevented,” comments Yulianna Vorodi, obstetrician-gynecologist of the KNP “Perinatal Center of Kyiv”.
Software is installed on the patient’s phone, the device is connected using wireless technology — and the state of the pregnant patient’s fetus is determined. The doctor analyzes the results of the diagnosis through his smartphone or the web version of the telemedicine platform. Employees of the analytical department of the software and hardware complex supplier use artificial intelligence to analyze the received diagnostic indicators of the vital activity of the fetus and form a separate analytical report with more than 30 parameters.
As part of humanitarian aid, Ukrainian health care institutions received: the System Carebits telemedicine platform, 300 Sigmafon portable tococardiography devices and an unlimited number of licenses for users.
