The heating season in Ukraine is already starting, social infrastructure facilities are connected to heat, primarily hospitals, schools, kindergartens, reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at the government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, specific dates of heat supply are determined by weather conditions, according to which community authorities make their decisions.
The Prime Minister also clarified that all nine power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants are working, covering the main generation needs, and Ukraine is receiving new generation equipment.
Shmyhal noted that banks that lend to businesses within government energy programs approved applications for UAH 7.9 billion, and in fact issued more than UAH 2 billion in loans. Credit funds in the amount of over UAH 204 million have been approved for the population.
“We are doing everything so that all Ukrainians have light and heat at home in the winter, and businesses work without interruption,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
