The International Monetary Fund has appointed the Italian Priscilla Toffano as a permanent representative in Ukraine. reported in the representative office of the IMF in Ukraine on Friday.
“From August 1 of this year, she will replace Vahram Stepanyan in this position, who after three years in this position is returning to the central office of the IMF,” the release states.
It is clarified that Toffano has been working at the IMF since 2013.
“The change of permanent representatives is an established practice in the IMF to ensure the rotation of its employees,” the Fund noted.
According to LinkedIn, Tofano worked at the IMF as an economist from September 2013 to May 2023, after which she was promoted to senior economist. She was also a doctoral intern (PhD Intern) in 2011-2012 at the European Central Bank and the Bank of England, and in 2017-2019 she was a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics (LSE).
