The “Defense Procurement Agency” of the Ministry of Defense has already delivered 154 Great Wall Wingle-5 pick-ups to the military as a result of the purchases made in the Prozorro system, the Ministry reported on its website.
According to the report, pickup trucks and other vehicles based on the chassis of this model are allowed for operation Ministry of Defense and are actively used by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The pickups have four-wheel drive and a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 143 hp, which meets the Euro-4 standard and is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Cars can take on board up to five people and cargo weighing up to 1 ton, as well as tow a trailer weighing 0.85 tons. Up to four personnel and additional armament equipment can be placed in the body.
“In the purchase of pickup trucks, it was critically important for us to make sure that the car meets all the requirements given to us by the military, and at the same time to ensure high competition and the most effective use of every hryvnia,” Marina Bezrukova, director of the Defense Procurement Agency, is quoted as saying in the message.
As reported, on May 15, as a result of the auctions held by the Defense Procurement Agency at Prozorro, several contracts were signed for the supply of a total of 154 pick-up vehicles for the total amount of UAH 153.38 million including VAT (or UAH 996,000 per unit) for the expected purchase price of 206, UAH 5 million (UAH 1.34 million per unit).
From 9 to 11 supplier companies participated in each auction.
At the same time, the winners-suppliers of cars, the car brand and the delivery date were not disclosed.
