The National Bank has registered the trademark PROSTIR e-Secure

Date:

The National Bank of Ukraine received a certificate of registration of the PROSTIR e-Secure trademark from the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (UKRNOIVI). Such a certificate is confirmation of the National Bank’s ownership of the PROSTIR e-Secure brand.

“Registration of a trademark is an important event for every company and product, because it contributes to the growth of trust and brand recognition among consumers, strengthens competitiveness and creates a legal foundation for the protection of intellectual property,” said Andriy Poddyerogin, director of the Department of Payment Systems and Innovative Development of the National Bank.

We will remind that the technology PROSTIR e-Secure was implemented in the national card payment system “SPACE” in 2022.

PROSTIR e-Secure is an important tool for increasing the level of security of operations on the Internet with PROSTIR payment cards, in particular, minimizing the risks of payment fraud. System participants and processing centers are actively working to connect to PROSTIR e-Secure, which is also aimed at fulfilling the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Payment Services” and the Regulation on Authentication and the Application of Enhanced Authentication in the Payment Market (approved by the Resolution of the NBU Board dated 05.03.2023 No. 58).

For reference

PROSTIR e-Secure is a technology for protecting e-commerce operations for members of the national card payment system “PROSTIR”, built on the EMV 3-D Secure protocol version 2.2.0 and represented by the Directory Server solution, certified by EMVCo.
