The fourth of January 2023 was the first day after emergency shutdowns due to Russian shelling, when the power supply system in Kyiv worked in full stabilization schedules.
“Thanks to the efforts of power engineers, we can now disconnect not even in groups, but using only 5-6 queues in one group,” said Serhii Kovalenko, YASNO top manager.
According to him, this situation is not only in Kyiv. For example, in Dnipro, restrictions are the same as yesterday, blackouts are also scheduled.
Are outages now possible outside of the schedule?
“Yes, if they are emergency. And there is no need to be surprised: accidents on the lines used to happen, just as they do now. Therefore, carefully follow the schedules, do not plug all the equipment into the sockets at the same time,” warns Kovalenko.
He draws attention to the fact that if someone currently does not have light outside the schedule, you should look at the site DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks, what could be the reason. If it is a local accident, you need to contact DTEK and call the experts.
Communications with energy consumers will continue in the future.
“When Russia started attacking our energy system, we YASNO decided that we will actively explain to clients what is happening in the industry. Yes, network repair, power system balancing, electricity generation are not our issues. But our priority as a service company is to help clients figure out complex things. Therefore, we continue to do it, and of course this is only part of our work,” explained the top manager of YASNO.
He reminded that the main function of YASNO is the supply and sale of electricity to end users. Specialists there forecast the amount of consumption of customers, we purchase electricity on the market and supply it to businesses and the population. Then we create invoices and finally accept payments from customers. And so in a circle. We also work with businesses. Each of these processes is complex and responsible.
“But as long as the shelling continues, we will do our best to keep you informed,” YASNO promises.
Problems of energy, heating and water supply in Kyiv are solved by the anti-crisis headquarters 24/7. Issues related to power outage schedules and emergency situations affecting the supply of electricity are processed within the framework of the city’s anti-crisis headquarters.
The main task is to form separate effective solutions in the issue of electricity limitation, more uniform and fair schedules.
That’s how I explained it deputy head of the KMDA Petro Panteleev about the results of the headquarters meeting with the participation of representatives of DTEK and YASNO.
The headquarters, at which the question of passing the heating season is considered, actually works 24 hours a day. Now the main aspect is energy.
