The reserve received a grant for the purchase of the necessary equipment.

The National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” received a grant of 11,944 euros for the purchase of equipment for the digitization of the archive, developed since the 1950s.

Funding was made possible thanks to the “ICOM Special Grants: Supporting Museums and Museum Professionals” competition. The main grant applicant was ICOM UK with the support of ICOM Ukraine (International Council of Museums).

“It is planned to digitize scientific, project and technical documentation related to the accounting and restoration of immovable monuments and engineering protection of the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra,” the reserve informs.

Last year, with the assistance of the Permanent Mission of Austria to UNESCO, the Secretariat and the UNESCO World Heritage Center, the reserve received a planetary scanner for digitizing the printed heritage of the stock collection (old prints, manuscripts, etc.).
