In the Odesa region, the Security Service detained an FSB agent who was correcting Russian missile and drone strikes on one of the region’s port cities.
“For the fulfillment of this task, the FSB engaged its agent – a 39-year-old paramedic of the local emergency medical aid station. The man came to the attention of the special services of the Russian Federation back in April this year, when he published anti-Ukrainian comments in the telegram channels of the aggressor country. At the instruction of the occupiers, their henchman collected intelligence information during trips to the coastal territory, in particular during calls to the ambulance,” – is going in a message on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
It is noted that the attacker displayed the received information on a Google map, and then sent screenshots to his curator from the FSB.
According to the SBU, the enemy was primarily interested in the coordinates of the bases of personnel and ships of the State Border Guard Service.
Also, the occupiers hoped to obtain the locations of the fire positions of the air defense defense, which defends the airspace of the southern region.
The security service documented the criminal actions of the Russian agent and detained him.
During the searches, two mobile phones were found in the suspect’s possession, which he used to communicate with the FSB.
It is reported that the investigators of the Security Service informed him of the suspicion under part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The perpetrator is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in the Odesa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
